Text, call or email clients to follow up
When a follow-up comes due, the next step is a message. Open the reminder, choose text, call or email, and let AI write a first draft from the client’s history, or write your own. Nothing goes out until you press send.
At the salon: a rebooking text in a minute
Six weeks after Mara K.’s color & cut, her rebooking reminder comes due. At the front desk, the salon’s manager presses “Follow up”, picks “SMS” and asks AI for a draft, then adds the booking page with “Insert link”. The text already names Studio Lumi and ends with the opt-out line. She changes one word and presses “Send SMS”.
What you get
- Text, call or email from one place, opened from a reminder or a client’s record
- AI drafts in the language you choose, based on your past visits with the client
- Talking points before a call, and a subject line and body for an email
- A booking link in the text, so the client can pick their next time
- Nothing goes out until you press send
Text, call or email, right from the reminder
Open a follow-up and choose how to reach the client. A text can be sent by Appointmentist, or opened in your phone’s messaging app with the words already filled in. A call opens your phone’s dialer. An email opens in your mail app, or you can copy it with its formatting.
A first draft that knows the client
On paid plans, AI can write the first draft for you. It looks at your earlier visits with the client and writes in the language you choose, and before a call it gives you talking points instead. Add a link to your booking page so they can pick their next time themselves. Change any word, or write your own from scratch.
Texts that respect your clients
Texts sent from Appointmentist name your business and tell the client how to opt out. Anyone who replies STOP gets no more texts, texts only go to clients who have agreed to hear from you, and the texts you send go out only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in your time zone (8 p.m. for numbers starting with +1).
How to set it up
Open a follow-up from your Agenda or from a reminder, and press “Follow up”.
Choose “SMS”, “Phone call” or “Email”.
Press “Suggest with AI” for a first draft in the “Language of communication” you pick, or write your own. “Insert link” adds your booking page.
Send it with “Send SMS”, or hand it to your phone with “Go to Messages”, “Call” or “Open Mail app”.
Calling, emailing and texting from your own phone come with every plan. AI drafts need a paid plan, and some paid plans can send texts for you.Compare plans
Client messages: common questions
Will it text my clients without asking me?
No. A follow-up message only goes out when you press send, and reminders come to you, not to your clients.
Do I need a paid plan?
Calling, emailing and texting from your own phone work on every plan. AI drafts need a paid plan (some include a managed AI key), and some paid plans can also send texts for you.
What happens after I send?
A text sent from Appointmentist marks the follow-up done by itself. If you send from your phone or your mail app, the app asks whether it’s done when you come back, so your list stays accurate.
Can I write the message myself?
Always. A draft is only a starting point: change every word, or skip AI and write your own.
