Loyalty cards in Apple and Google Wallet
Paper punch cards get lost. Appointmentist puts your card in your client’s phone instead: they add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, you scan it when they visit, and the balance on their card updates by itself.
At the salon: stamped at the front desk
Studio Lumi runs a “Color club” card. Mara K. added hers to her phone’s wallet on her first visit, by scanning the code on the front-desk phone. Today, at her seventh visit, the stylist opens “Scan a card” and points the camera at Mara’s card, and the visit is counted. The card in Mara’s wallet updates by itself.
What you get
- Cards for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, with no app for your clients to install
- Loyalty, club, discount and package cards, with points named your way
- Scan a card with your phone’s camera, or type its short code
- Rewards that unlock at a number of visits, points or spend
- Undo a mistake within 15 minutes, and replace a lost card with its balance intact
In their wallet in seconds
Issue a card and show the client its QR code. They scan it with their own phone and add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Not together in person? Copy, share or text them the link instead.
Scanned at every visit
When a client comes in, point your phone’s camera at their card, or type its short code, and add the visit or points. The card in their wallet updates by itself. Tapped the wrong thing? Undo it within 15 minutes.
Rewards they can see
Choose the kind of card you need: a loyalty card, a club membership, a discount card or a package of prepaid visits. Call the points whatever your clients call them, like stamps or credits. Add benefits such as a percentage or an amount off, milestones that unlock at a number of visits, points or spend, and an expiry if you want one. Benefits show on the card for your staff to apply; nothing is charged through it.
How to set it up
Open “Scan a card” and press “Create your first loyalty program”: name it, choose the kind of card and add your benefits.
When a client wants a card, press “Issue a loyalty card” and let them scan the code on your screen, or send them the link.
At each visit, open “Scan a card” and point the camera at their card, or type its code. The visit is counted, and you can add points too.
Tapped the wrong thing? “Undo” takes it back within 15 minutes.

Loyalty cards: common questions
Do my clients need to install an app?
No. The card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, not in an app of ours.
What if a client loses their phone?
Revoke the card and it stops working and disappears from their wallet. Then issue a replacement, and the balance carries over.
Can I change the kind of card later?
Yes. Switching between a loyalty, club, discount or package card changes the wording and the defaults, and the cards you’ve issued don’t need replacing.
Which plans include loyalty cards?
Loyalty cards come with paid plans. If your plan changes later, the cards you’ve already issued keep working.
