Setup guides
Short, step-by-step guides, in the words you’ll see in the app.
Connect Google Calendar
Sign up with “Continue with Google”. Already have an account? In your workspace settings, find “Calendars” and press “Connect with Google”.
Choose your Google account and allow Appointmentist to see your calendars.
Tick the calendars that hold client appointments, and leave personal ones unticked. During setup, this step is called “Pick the calendars to read”.
That’s all. Your calendars are checked automatically, and the refresh button on your Agenda checks again right away. New suggestions wait under “Suggestions”.
- To stop, press “Unlink” beside the account (keep one way to sign in). Our access ends, and we ask Google to cancel the access you gave.
- Connecting a calendar comes with every plan. Reading several calendars at once needs a paid plan.
Connect Outlook Beta
Sign up with “Continue with Microsoft”, using a personal Microsoft account like Outlook.com. Already have an account? Under “Calendars”, press “Connect with Microsoft”.
Allow Appointmentist to read your calendars.
Tick the calendars that hold client appointments, and leave the rest alone.
- Google and Outlook calendars can be connected side by side, with one list of suggestions across both.
- Work or school account? The Microsoft 365 guide below is the one for you: it has its own button.
- Automatic daily checks come with every plan. Paid plans stay in sync continuously, so new appointments show up as they happen.
Connect Microsoft 365 Beta
Sign up with “Continue with Microsoft 365”, using your work or school account. Already have an account? Under “Calendars”, press “Connect with Microsoft 365”.
Allow Appointmentist to read your calendars. If Microsoft asks for an admin’s approval, your organization approves new apps centrally: ask your IT admin to approve Appointmentist, then try again.
Tick the calendars that hold client appointments, and leave the rest alone.
- “Continue with Microsoft” is for personal accounts, so a work or school account won’t sign in there. Choose “Continue with Microsoft 365” instead.
- Automatic daily checks come with every plan. Paid plans stay in sync continuously, so new appointments show up as they happen.
Get reminders on Telegram
In your workspace, open “Notifications” and choose Telegram.
Press “Connect Telegram”. Telegram opens our bot: press “Start” once.
Come back to the app: this workspace now has its own topic in that chat.
Press “Send test” under “Send yourself a test” to see exactly how a reminder arrives.
- Every notice in the chat is tagged #followup, #booking or #workspace.
- To choose how much a reminder says, use “What notifications say” in “Follow-up preferences”.
Get notifications on your phone or computer
On iPhone or iPad, add Appointmentist to your Home Screen first: tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”, and open it from there.
In your workspace, open “Notifications”, choose “Browser” and press “Enable on this device”.
Allow notifications when your browser asks, and repeat on each phone or computer you use.
Press “Send test” under “Send yourself a test” to see exactly how a reminder arrives.
To choose how much a reminder says, use “What notifications say” in “Follow-up preferences”.
- On Android phones and on computers, the browser is all you need. On a computer, keep the browser running in the background.
- “Your devices” lists every phone and computer with notifications on, and you can rename or switch off each one.
Publish your booking page
In your workspace, open “Booking” and press “Create booking page”. Choose the “Page address” you’ll share.
Choose which services clients can book, and set each person’s “Working hours” under “Members”.
Under “When someone books”, pick “Confirm immediately” or “Ask me first”.
Press “Publish”, then “Copy link” and share it.
- Clients book with their name and a way to reach them. They don’t need an account.
- Online booking comes with paid plans.
Start loyalty cards
Open “Scan a card” and press “Create your first loyalty program”: name it, choose the kind of card and add your benefits.
When a client wants a card, press “Issue a loyalty card” and let them scan the code on your screen, or send them the link.
At each visit, open “Scan a card” and point the camera at their card, or type its code. The visit is counted, and you can add points too.
Tapped the wrong thing? “Undo” takes it back within 15 minutes.
- Client lost their phone? Revoke the card, issue a replacement, and the balance carries over.
- Loyalty cards come with paid plans.
